In this very personal program, french pianist Nicolas Horvath revisits his musical roots with a selection that made him famous. His world renown Glass & Satie recordings were animmense successes, giving him his global audience.

The Debussy pieces in this program are all newly discovered by Professor Robert Orledge, one of the greatest experts in XX Century French Music. From the tenderness of the Petite Valse to the cataclysmic The Fall of Usher, these pieces open new doors of understanding the greatest French composer of all time.

Triology is a supergroup of award winning Canadian jazz musicians – Jodi Proznick on bass, Miles Black on piano and Bill Coon on guitar. They have joined forces to form one of Canada’s finest jazz trios. All three of the members have won numerous accolades over the years including JUNO nominations, National Jazz Awards, Galaxie Rising Star Awards and Western Canadian Music Awards and have shared the stage with jazz stars such as Lewis Nash, George Coleman, David Fathead Newman, Ed Thigpen, Clark Terry, Max Roach and Harry “Sweets” Edison. Formed in 2008 and fashioned after the great early jazz trios of Nat King Cole and Oscar Peterson, they will be performing wonderful impromptu arrangements of classic jaz standards, music from the Great American Aong Ook and original compositions by the members of the trio. This is a show you don’t want to miss.

Jade Monet and Kevin Castro have been playing together at numerous venues in since 2020, quickly earning a reputation for their musical abilities. Both passionate performers, they will be showcasing their original music — a blend of jazz and R&B, coloured with influences of pop and soul — as well as covering timeless material from legendary jazz artists like Etta James, Louis Armstrong, and Ella Fitzgerald. Accompanied by saxophone player John Nicholson, the trio will be adding their own spin on all the classics.

Melani Mestre presents a musical tour through the Spanish piano literature of the last 400 years. A unique journey that will allow us not only to travel through time but also through Spanish geography. Melani Mestre has become a reference in this repertoire in recent years, having edited, published and recorded such important works as the Piano Concerto by Enric Granados with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

GFA finalist Alan Liu will perform a program by classical guitar's favourite composers, with both well-known and lesser heard works. Enjoy music from every major period, from Bach to Bogdanovic.

The great cellist Pablo Casals made Bach's cello suites famous; he himself judged the suites: "They are the quintessence of Bach's work, and Bach himself is the quintessence of all music."

The OPUS Klassik prize winner Benedict Klöckner is one of the "most exciting cellists of his generation" (Welt am Sonntag). Benedict played all Bach Cello Suites most recently at the Philharmonie Berlin in Germany.

Clémence de Forceville will perform a violin program inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach, Hungarian folk music and jazz & blues.

After intermission you will hear Antonín Dvořák’s famous “Dumky” piano trio, performed by Clémence de Forceville, cellist Benedict Klöckner and pianist Melani Mestre.
